Just when you thought the Shoreline theater scene couldn’t get any better, a new company has emerged bringing together stars from the New York City Opera, the Broadway stage and TV/film into Connecticut theater lovers’ backyards.

August 12-14, A Taste of Broadway opens at the historic Old Stone Church Theater, featuring your favorite scenes, songs, and production numbers from Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, Oklahoma!, Mamma Mia and Jersey Boys. Directed by a top-notch team of industry professionals, you will be amazed by the incredible vocals and heart-stopping choreography celebrating some of Broadway’s greatest hits! Audience participation is highly encouraged, with cabaret-style seating and BYOB/dinner. For dessert, visit our Venetian table, featuring your favorite Italian delicacies, including an expresso bar and a chocolate fountain. All proceeds to benefit up-and-coming local artists.

Starring New York City Opera’s Erich Simo as The Phantom and brilliant lyric soprano Jenna Comfort as Christine, you will be transported to the Broadway stage without having to drive to the city. Boasting a cast of familiar faces, including Brittany Kammerer who recently played Fantine in Les Miserables, and  Amato Opera’s Gina Consiglio, A Taste of Broadway will be a memorable experience for all ages.
