Wagner-Iovanna Studio Productions (WISP) Performances’ Summer Concert Series enters new territory with the debut of a new original musical revue, The Birth of Broadway: Mozart 2 Miranda, a delicious summertime sampler of a 200-year timeline of music history, featuring some of the most memorable musical theater scenes and some of opera’s greatest moments. From Bizet to Hammerstein, Puccini to Sondheim, Verdi to Fosse, and more, audiences will be swept away, experiencing songs, scenes, and choreography that defined generations — and maybe, just maybe, get in on the act themselves!

Featuring professional opera and Broadway performers alongside a cast of sparkling up-and-coming shoreline talent, WISP brings a fresh take to the Connecticut theater and opera scene.

Bringing together such a diverse and exceptional cast of talent allows WISP to offer folks who might not have the opportunity to travel to New York the chance to enjoy professional-caliber performances right in their own backyard. Cabaret-style seating, and BYOB/dinner creates a fun and intimate atmosphere for the audience.
